Seremeres Games is a small independent game development company based in London Ontario. Started by two game professionals wanting to pursue their own game ideas and without the influence of outside investors, Seremeres Games is committed to producing compelling quality games.
We are committed to the following goals:
Doing What We Love
This is our company, and we have no outside investors pulling strings and influencing our decisions, allowing us to focus on quality and deliver the product we want and believe in.
Improving Quality Standards for Online Store Games
Online distribution has opened the industry up to independent developers like never before. Unfortunately the majority of products coming out are either poorly designed, poorly executed, or both. Shovelware is threatening to collapse this new industry under it’s own weight. We’re hoping to put out quality products, that aren’t just rehashed of existing games, but rather provide new games on new platforms. Hopefully we can do our part to turn the industry toward quality products, and find ways to cut through the clutter before this new wave of gamers are turned off by bad experiences in the games and stores themselves.
Find Ways to Connect Everyone to Gaming
With the wide-variety of platforms gaming is more accessible than ever and Seremeres Games wants to capitalize on this new era of gaming. With both a panoply of handheld and installed platforms, as well as the dynamics of online or local multiplayer, gaming has new ways to interact with the public. We hope to use these new technologies to reach out to new gamers and help ensure gaming is as integral to society as other media. With connectivity we will also hope to make connecting to a game as much connecting to people with our social and competitive game designs, providing new ways to interact with both virtual and real worlds.
We hope you like what we’re offering and that we can count on your support.
Team
Serena Samborski
Founder and CEO
Serena is mostly your average girl, who loves kittens and shoes and interior design makeover shows, but with a passion for game development. Since she was a small child, she avoided much real work by drawing unicorns and cool fighting guys. Somehow, she was able to make this into a career in the game industry as a 2D artist. Sadly, did this not satisfy her megalomaniac ambitions. After several failed doomsday machines and bank heists, she decided to make yet another attempt at world conquest by starting Seremeres Games, combining her love of game development with her love of having money for food.
Kai Hutchence
Chief Creative Officer and Game Designer
Having been a professional chef, cultural worker, businessman and marketer among other things, he’s proven himself a jack-of-all-trades, or unable to hold a steady job, we haven’t figured it out yet. Looking to turn his recent double degree in murderonomy and murderology into a full-time career in game development, Kai was thrilled to wander aimlessly onto the scene of Seremeres’ founding. Often referred to as “that guy”, Kai’s long term passion for gaming has been unstoppable since his earliest years. Creating board, card, physical and video games his whole life, he’s thrilled to finally have the chance to inflict his twisted designs on the public at large.
Johnny Amore
Composer and Musician
Johnny Amore is singer/songwriter/composer from Regina Saskatchewan. After several years of training as a classical violinist, Johnny taught himself to play the guitar and began writing songs. Since then he has played in several bands and several orchestras in the Regina area. Ruby Rust is Johnny’s first foray into video game music and he is attempting to learn as much as possible on the fly.
His most recent project outside of the Ruby Rust Soundtrack is a collection of songs he wrote for his Mexican girlfriend: “Learn to Speak English with Johnny Amore”. Look for these and other songs by Johnny on iTunes in the near future.
Having been the first on the team to write his bio, Johnny sadly mistook us for being serious-minded individuals… poor Johnny.
Dawlton Tomkins
Sound FX Engineer
We last saw Dawlton making strange noises… professionally. Our sound FX engineer is the youngest member of the team, with a very full plate. A musician and sound artist to us, he’s also currently involved in projects in visual arts, film production, and writing a book, since he needs something to do with his spare time. With his intimate knowledge of this country, and his knack for languages, should the app store go down, he should expect to get a phone call from us to go door-to-door peddling software for us.
